Unlike our Midnight Mass candle, which combines some classic Christmas fragrances with incense, this candle was created solely with incense in mind. The fragrance was inspired by the wonderful incense blends of the Holy Rood Guild, which we burn in our own home for solemn occasions. This is also a candle which smells quite different once it is lit and has been burning for about an hour - smokier, deeper, richer than when it's not burning. Fragrance Strength: Moderate.

FRAGRANCE STRENGTH INFORMATION: Along with fragrance descriptions, we give each candle a scent profile: either delicate, moderate, or rich. Our tests are done in rooms from 10x10 to 12x12, so a much larger room, especially one with high ceilings, will require larger candles (such as our 16oz variety). DELICATE fragrances are subtler and make great accents to a room or are perfect for smaller sized rooms. MODERATE fragrances stand out but are not overpowering. RICH fragrances will throw a powerful, lasting scent. For those who like stronger fragrances, we suggest you try one of our moderate or richer fragrances in a 16oz jar but *note* that none of our candles are formulated to be overbearing or cloyingly sweet (the types that give some people headaches).
